About Us

Both Eyes Open Training is a unique educational company focusing on situational awareness, preparedness, and self defense training seminars.  Both Eyes was established in 2014 in Denver, Colorado USA and continues to expand throughout Colorado and Northern Texas. 

About the Owner – Mary McAllister is a native Texan living in Denver, Colorado and has been a student of situational awareness and safe mindset training since 2012. She has worked with various mentors from law enforcement, corrections, and former military representing all branches.  She is a certified Sabre Red Personal Safety Instructor with emphasis on pepper spray deployment and defense. Mary is also an avid student of tactical firearms training and competitive shooting.  She is currently training under some of the top instructors in the world.  

She continues to train with her mentors to strive to bring her clients the most up to date, complete, and no nonsense approach to their safety and well being.

Her experience doing thousands of hours of training in several different modes of self defense, situational awareness, and combat mindset give her a unique and realistic foundation for teaching clients what they need to know to keep themselves safe.
